Hard to believe that it is actually September and not November, what disappointing weather.  Canal all very quiet, although some canal boats went along this morning as did the Swans.   However it is Sunday and they get spoilt at the weekend by all the extra people out and about so I am not required today.  They just about look the other way when they pass by, so took the hint.

My arch enemy, Mr. Heron was at on our roof on Saturday,  he really does like this area all of a sudden.

Next door's coffee morning went well and a substantial sum raised for the hospice concerned.  Managed to get a couple of slices of ginger cake to bring home for husband, plus some really lovely lemon cake.  Caught up with folk I'd not seen for a while.

Friday afternoon we went to visit pregnant daughter, who is positively blooming and looking the picture of health and Florrie's son when he finished work.  Count down now to baby arrival.

Otherwise not a lot to report.  A walk was planned for this afternoon, but rain stopped play., it is really coming down heavily now.

Feel that I should be doing something constructive, so will leave the blog until there is something worth writing about.

  1. So glad the coffee morning went well, and you managed to save some cake for hubby. The weather has turned pretty cold here too this weekend, oh well, summer can't last forever I suppose.
